VH-UFT

OUR AIRCRAFT

Our aircraft VH-UFT is a Cessna 206 Stationair II. The C206 is able to carry five passengers and their baggage to any destination. Renowned for its excellent short field capabilities, it is suitable for getting into otherwise inaccessible areas.

Our aircraft is impeccably maintained to the Charter and Instrument Flight Rules categories, and is able to fly day or night, weather conditions permitting. On-board equipment includes precision runway approach instrumentation, JPI engine monitoring equipment and a 12 channel, colour moving-map GPS unit.

The aircraft was subject to a major refurbishment in December 2003. This entailed stripping the aircraft to a bare shell, removing all signs of corrosion, addressing all airworthiness directives as issued by Cessna & CASA, and then rebuilding, replacing many parts along the way. The job was finished off with the application of new paint, new windows and headliner. A new propeller was fitted in late 2004.

Here is a nice photo of VH-UFT taken on the beach at Margaret Bay, during a live Crayfish freight charter.
